Upon reboot, your device will again notify that android is “optimizing apps;” however, this process should not repeat on subsequent reboots unless you have installed an ota update or factory reset your device. i hope this helps. good luck….. Upon rebooting, the phone went through the "android is starting... optimizing app ## of ###" routine. it optimized 120 apps and took 40 minutes before i could use the phone again.. I just had the same exact issue on the same exact phone. after doing some digging it seems like this happens when android has a problem optimizing one or more apps, so it stubbornly retries all of them. so i uninstalled apps one-by-one and rebooted, and the problem went away after uninstalling supersu..
